Okay, here he is...my most expensive Nuriko to date! This guy cost so much that he was half a Christmas gift! I never though I would own a cel from THE death scene of all death scenes. And, while this cel is a profile shot, it is just amazing! Much more impressive than you would ever think by looking at this aweful scan. We just got a new scanner at work...and, in short words, it sucks booté. The image just about fills the entire cel, and it's 3 layers thick! When I got this cel, it had those horrid little moisture bubbles between the layers by his eye there. And, since the layers are good and stuck, I had to do some major surgery on Nurlie to get those out. I had to use a very thinly cut piece of cardstock to thread between the oh-so-delicate layers. There are three here, his main face on the bottom, the second are his eye and the little blood streaks, and the third his hair and collar..which are all but plastered onto the second layer! I had a real time with it, but I got all the bubbles out, and he's just beautiful! I would like to thank everyone who helped me get this pretty boy, and he will get framed...as soon as I have money..like in the year 2003..I think I *might* have money by then...
This cel didnt come with a pencil sketch, but I did get this pretty pretty bg to go with him! I think it fits the emotion very well. And, while everone, and usually me too, dislikes profile shots...I think this cel is fabulous as a side shot...it just makes it more dramatic to me. I loved this scene so much, it's what made Nuriko my favortie anime character of all time, and Im so happy I have this pretty cel, and I will always keep him with me :).
